Following a Dream – From Mongolia to America and Back

Although he landed in America with only $25 in his pocket, Otgonbat Barkhuu soon proved to have a wealth of ambition.
Barkhuu, who is called Ogi by all who know him, arrived at Dickinson State University from Mongolia in August 2000. When he graduated three years later he had proven his determination was anything but average.
Not only did Barkhuu maintain a 4.0 grade point average during his academic career, he also was DSU’s first Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program graduate.
